Betas donate to Webb House

Beta Tau Delta’s Mission statement is: To enrich the lives of Greene County children, to widen their wonder, open their possibilities, improve their health, and increase their knowledge, while inspiring sisterhood among members.

Beta Tau Delta has provided support to the Webb House for longer than 20 years, as this program is a great example of its mission.

The Webb House provides a safe, supervised place for middle school youth to socialize and have fun. The youth have opportunity to play outside and inside games. They are chaperoned by faithful volunteers Jim and Karen North, Eloise Friday, Charlotte Blasnitz and Glenn Childs, all  who expect the youth to be respectful but also to have fun.

Beta Tau Delta has provided $600 dollars again this year, which usually is used to pay for utilities. “We are thankful to have this program in our community for our youth and are pleased to provide this support,” a Beta Tau Delta member said.

Beta Tau Delta members Donna Smith and Diane Jackson (back, center) visited the Webb House Wednesday afternoon to deliver a check from their organization to Jim North for the Webb House. The group of young people is typical of Wednesday afternoons when school dismisses early for teacher professional development.
